Dear Members and Colleagues,
It is with great honor and sincere gratitude that I address you as President of the International Society of Oncoplastic Endocrine Surgeons.
ISOPES was founded on a shared vision: to advance endocrine surgery by uniting oncologic safety with oncoplastic excellence, and scientific innovation with deep respect for the patient as a whole person. Thanks to the dedication of our members and the leadership of those who came before us, our society has grown into a truly global community of surgeons committed to excellence, education, and collaboration.
As we stand at the intersection of rapidly evolving technologies and expanding clinical possibilities, our mission has never been more important. Precision surgery, advanced imaging, minimally invasive and robotic approaches, and emerging digital tools are transforming our field. Yet, at the heart of every advancement remains a fundamental truth: our work is ultimately about restoring health, dignity, and quality of life for our patients.
During my term as President, I will work to strengthen ISOPES as:
a global platform for academic exchange and collaboration,
a supportive home for young and emerging surgeons, and
a leading voice in ethical, innovative, and patient-centered endocrine oncology.
We will continue to foster multidisciplinary dialogue, expand educational opportunities across regions, and embrace innovation while preserving the human values that define our profession.
As we approach the end of the year, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all members for your commitment, scholarship, and collegial spirit. Your contributions — in the operating room, in research, and in teaching — are what make ISOPES vibrant and meaningful.
Looking ahead to the new year, I am confident that together we will further shape the future of oncoplastic endocrine surgery. May the coming year bring renewed inspiration, productive collaboration, and continued progress for our society and for the patients we serve.
Thank you for your trust and support. I look forward to working with all of you in the year ahead.
With warm regards and best wishes for the New Year,
JUN-HO CHOE, MD, PhD
